Vertex FC 03: Soft-Grade FKM Seals for High Elongation Applications

Vertex FC 03 is a copolymer fluoroelastomer (FKM) compound designed for high temperature and oil resistance, with a softer Shore A hardness and higher elongation than other grades in the Vertex FC range. This flexibility makes it well suited for dynamic sealing applications where the seal needs to stretch and recover repeatedly without losing its sealing force, alongside the chemical and thermal resistance expected of FKM.

Vertex FC 03 FKM Properties

At 70±5 Shore A, this is a softer compound within the Vertex FC family, with an elongation at break of 200% minimum — noticeably higher than firmer grades. That extra stretch makes it a strong fit for seals that see repeated flexing or dynamic movement, without sacrificing oil and heat resistance.
