Fluorosilicone rubber (FSL) is a silicone rubber with fluorine groups added to the main polymer chain. This helps create a high-performance elastomer that is stable, long-lasting and has high chemical resistance to a wide range of oils, acids, fuels, chemicals, and non-polar solvents.
Vertex FS has excellent low temperature properties along with good chemical resistance. They are used in applications where the temperature ranges from -70°C to +200°C.

Even prolonged immersion in these harsh chemicals has minimal effect on the material’s properties. FSL, an ideal sealing solution, has good compression set resistance, can withstand repeated flexing and maintains excellent tensile strength.

FSL O-rings and seals can function in environments that would destroy most conventional materials.
