Vertex H 16: Hydrogenated NBR for Oil Resistance Applications

Vertex H 16 is a hydrogenated nitrile butadiene rubber (HNBR) compound, specially formulated for oil resistance applications. With excellent resistance to hydrocarbon solvents and good chemical resistance on top of its core oil resistance, this compound is built for components like hoses, oil seals and pumps that see continuous exposure to oils and process fluids.

Vertex H 16 properties

ISMAT manufactures Vertex H 16 through the hydrogenation of NBR, giving it a notable step up in performance over standard nitrile rubber. Validated through in-house testing, this compound delivers higher resistance to a wide range of oils along with excellent resistance to hydrocarbon solvents, making it a dependable choice wherever oil exposure is a constant.

With a tensile strength of 20 MPa minimum and elongation of 200% minimum, Vertex H 16 combines strength with flexibility, holding up well in hoses, oil seals, pumps and cable wire applications. Its good resistance to chemicals adds an extra layer of protection in mixed-media environments where oils aren’t the only concern.
