The Vertex A series of Tetrafluoroethylene propylene (FEPM) offers a combination of high chemical and temperature resistances. Similar to other fluoroelastomers, it has excellent resistance to a broad range of chemicals including acids, bases, ozone, oxidizers, corrosion inhibitors, (hydraulic) oils, phosphate esters, alcohols, and hot water/steam. They are widely used in the chemical, automotive, aerospace, and oil & gas industries.
Tetrafluoroethylene propylene (FEPM or TFE/P or AFLAS®) is a high-performance elastomer composed of both tetrafluoroethylene and propylene. FEPM seals are widely used in the oil & gas, chemical, automotive and aerospace industries because of its excellent all-round chemical resistance. But, it is important to note that FEPM sealing solutions are not compatible with chlorinated and aromatic hydrocarbons and some common solvents like acetone.
