NR (Natural Rubber) is an elastomer derived from natural latex, prized for its outstanding elasticity, tensile strength and resistance to tearing and abrasion. It’s sulphur curable, allowing it to be vulcanized into durable, resilient rubber components with excellent mechanical properties.

NR is widely used where high elongation and good wear resistance are needed, particularly in vibration-damping applications like anti vibration mounts and grommets. However, it has more limited resistance to oils and many chemicals compared to synthetic elastomers, so it’s best suited to mechanical and general-purpose sealing rather than oil or chemical service.
