Vertex FC 10 is an innovative high-performance fluoroelastomer (FKM) that is specially crafted to resist anti-explosive decompression at low temperatures (GLT). Rapid Gas Decompression (RGD) is a condition where, in case of internal failure, there is a sudden release of pressure which can cause damage. The RGD resistance of Vertex FC 10 has been certified to the NORSOK M-710 Edition 3 standard which, when combined with other certifications like NACE TM0187-2011 (for use in sour fluid environments) and NACE TM0192-2012 (for use in carbon dioxide decompression environments), makes it ideal for applications in oil & gas, energy and others where high gas/fluid pressure and low temperature resistance is required.
