About Novum BF
Novum BF is a series of bronze-reinforced PTFEs from ISMAT that have excellent hardness and compression strength, while also maintaining good electrical and thermal conductivity.
WHAT IS A BRONZE FILLED PTFE?
A type of Reinforced Polytetrafluoroethylene (R-PTFE), bronze-filled PTFEs are generally strengthened with bronze powder (between 40% – 60%) which results in a material with excellent mechanical properties. The addition of bronze means that the material has a weaker chemical resistance than most PTFEs and the additional conductivity means that it is not suitable for most electrical applications.
