Vertex F is our series of next-generation high-performance FFKM elastomers. These Perfluoro elastomers materials contain a higher amount of fluorine than FKM elastomers and, as such, have improved temperature and chemical resistance than their less-fluorinated counterparts.
FFKM is a modern perfluoro elastomeric compound with more fluorine than FKM elastomers. This material (as defined by ASTM 1418 standard) has improved resistance to high temperatures and chemicals and is commonly used to make seals in applications where wide temperature ranges, hydrocarbons or corrosive fluids are encountered.
FFKM or Perfluoro elastomer materials are used in wide operating conditions from -40°C to +315°C. They provide excellent resistance to aggressive media such as hot amines above +70°C. Some special Perfluoroelastomer materials are suitable for RGD applications.
To ensure purity and consistent performance, FFKM O-rings and seals are made in ISMAT’s in-house development facility.
