SBR Seals

About Cerulean SB

The Cerulean SB series of SBRs (Styrene-Butadiene Rubber) is extremely versatile. It can be moulded into seals for various applications requiring resilience to heat and certain chemicals.

ISMAT, the best sealing solutions provider, has an expert team that researches, crafts, and fabricates the best Cerulean SB profiles including, automotive parts and mechanical rubber goods.

What is SBR?

Styrene-butadiene rubber (SBR) is widely used to create high-performance seals and elastomers. It is derived from combining two monomers: styrene and butadiene. SBR is an extremely versatile material developed during World War 2 to replace natural rubber.

By analysing all the advantages and wide usage in sectors like automotive and mechanical, ISMAT – high-performance sealing solutions provider across the globe, curates this SBR material to produce O rings and seals that prevent leakages, resist abrasion, compression set resistance, crack endurance, and ageing.

It also has some weaknesses, such as the need for reinforcement and sub-par low-temperature resistance compared to natural rubber.
