Vertex FC 15 is a high performance fluoroelastomer (FKM) that is specially crafted for resisting Rapid Gas Decompression (RGD) at extremely low temperatures (up to -46°C). RGD is a condition where, in case of internal failure, there is a sudden release of pressure which can cause damage to the system. Certified to international standards – such as NORSOK M-710 Edition 3 standard (for RGD resistance), NACE TM0187-2011 (for use in sour fluid environments) and NACE TM0192-2012 (for use in carbon dioxide decompression environments), this material is ideal for applications where high gas/fluid pressure resistivity is required at very low temperatures.
