Novum PKC 05

Novum PKC 05: Glass Reinforced PEEK for High Tensile & Shear Strength

Novum PKC 05 is a 30% glass reinforced version of PEEK, engineered to deliver significantly higher tensile strength and shear strength than unfilled PEEK grades. This makes it a strong fit for aerospace seals, valves and electrical components where mechanical loading is severe and dimensional performance under stress can’t be compromised.

Novum PKC 05 properties

ISMAT manufactures Novum PKC 05 by reinforcing PEEK with 30% glass fiber, validated through in-house testing to ensure consistent mechanical performance across every batch. With a Shore D hardness of 85 minimum and tensile strength of 100 MPa minimum, this grade significantly outperforms unfilled PEEK in both tensile and shear strength, making it suitable for high-load engineering applications.

Beyond its mechanical strength, Novum PKC 05 offers good chemical resistance and a lower coefficient of friction, along with a reduced coefficient of thermal expansion that helps maintain dimensional stability across temperature swings. Rated for continuous service at +250°C, it holds up reliably in valve seals, hardware, construction tools and high pressure ball valves.

If your application demands a high-strength engineering plastic that can handle both mechanical load and elevated temperatures, Novum PKC 05 is engineered to deliver. Contact ISMAT to discuss your specific application requirements.
