Novum P is a series of ISMAT PTFEs with high toughness, strength, and good flexibility at low temperatures. Its superior thermal properties and chemical resistance make it ideal for industries with aggressive materials like chemical processing and pharmaceuticals.
Polytetrafluoroethylene (or PTFE) is a thermoplastic polymer that is a white solid at room temperature. Its molecular chain consists of only fluorine and carbon atoms, and this bond strength means that it is inherently non-reactive and hydrophobic. PTFE also has an extremely low coefficient of friction, one of the lowest among all solids.
PTFEs are commonly known by the brand name Teflon, a copyright of Chemours (a Du Pont spin-off).
